Spending the day walking around the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre can leave you with some seriously sore muscles. The Six Senses Spa at Rue De Castiglione is the perfect place to re-charge before you hit the Paris nightlife.
Six Senses is about much more than spa treatments. It’s a facility that is set up to treat the mind and the body. It was designed by Pierre Davis with every one of your senses in mind. The spa has labeled itself as the “first urban well-being sanctuary in France,” and it’s a fitting term, as everything is based on the holistic approach.
When you walk into Six Senses, you will immediately feel the tranquility the modern, yet low-key, décor brings. You will be offered some herb tea to further the relaxation. It is all about creating a relaxing mood and even the lighting remains dim. Instead of heading to a room for your massage, you will be brought into one of the “cocoons,” where your masseuse will send you into complete relaxation.
Six Senses has a total of six cocoons, two of which are set up for couples (or girlfriend getaways) with two massage tables. All of the treatments here are Asian-based, and most use local and/or organic ingredients to balance out the senses of your body. Aromatherapy is considered an important part of the holistic process.
Spa Journeys at the Six Senses are packages that include massages, facials and other options set in balance with each other for a complete renewal. If you are short on time, an assortment of individual treatments are available, including: head massage, foot acupuncture, body wraps, hand treatments, and even jet lag recovery.
Six Senses at Rue De Castiglione welcomes men and even has a menu of treatments set up under a menu called “Essentials for Him.” Visit their website for more information.
