Feel Like a Goddess at the Venus Spa

When you find that idling away the high-season daylight hours along one of Anguilla’s pristine beaches has sufficiently drained your vacation energy (proper beach time can, after all, be an exhausting affair when you take on this dreamy island’s 33 postcard-perfect strands), make time to recharge at one of the Caribbean’s top destination wellness retreats – the Venus Spa at the luxury CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa. It’s a favorite treatment facility among island hoppers in these parts, and its vast menu of services and expansive 27,000 sq. ft. facility – among the largest in the Caribbean – are sure to leave an impression on you, too.

The Venus Spa’s recent $10 million upgrades have improved upon an already stellar offering, with a wide range of services including facials, massages, body wraps, and even a special Healing Waters mineral pool – a custom saltwater ‘aqua-therapy’ bath that helps to relax sore muscles, purge toxins in the body, and fight any jetlag from your trip over.

Among the favorite treatments here…

Warmed Seashell Massage: Love hot stone massages? Try this Caribbean twist on the perennial spa favorite, blending massage techniques and warmed shells from around the island. 50 minutes for $140.

Anguillan Coconut Pineapple Scrub: If you tend to opt for massages when you visit a Caribbean spa, try something a little different here. This yummy body scrub incorporates both exfoliation (using natural coconut milk, pineapple and essential oils) and massage, sloughing off dead skin cells and leaving your skin refreshed. 50 minutes for $110.

Anguillan Water Journey: Can’t decide which treatment you want? I know the feeling – and you don’t have to choose. Opt for this extended service and sample some of the spa’s best offerings, including a sea salt body scrub, tropical rain shower, and an aqua massage in the Healing Waters pool. 80 minutes for $195.

Before you leave the spa, make time for lunch or a late-afternoon snack at Mediterraneo, the resort’s poolside dining venue, which serves up a selection of gourmet dishes featuring fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs harvested from the resort’s own hydroponic garden. You’ll be ready to tackle another of Anguilla’s beautiful beaches in no time.
