Discovering Inspirato’s Sonoma – Part II

It’s hard to believe there would come a time you get bored at the new Inspirato property at Mayacama in Santa Rosa, with two Jacuzzis, a steam room, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, a super modern kitchen, and a deck that has its own fireplace, barbecue, hot tub and cozy furniture. But if for some reason you do need a change of scenery, you will not run out of things to do in the community.

Mayacama Country Club entrance

Mayacama is an exclusive, gated developed where only residents normally get to stay, but as with other Inspirato properties, membership has privileges. While staying at this four bedroom, five fireplace, four and a half bath property (that spans over 3,500 square feet), you can take advantage of what the community offers.

There are trails for hiking everywhere in Mayacama, and don’t be surprised to have a few deer follow you along the way. There’s also a swimming pool and tennis courts within a short walk of the Manzanita house, but you may find yourself spending a lot of time at the Mayacama Clubhouse.

Inside the clubhouse

The Clubhouse is in the same European styling of the house, only even grander. Here you will find amenities you might get at a Five Diamond Resort. Along with the monthly events, these facilities are for use while you are staying in the Inspirato home.

The Spa and Fitness Club at Mayacama are huge and full of all of the luxurious comforts you could ever want. There is also a restaurant which has indoor and outdoor areas for fine dining with wine paired meals (Mayacama has a 3,000 square foot wine cellar that members – Inspirato guests – can choose from) or pizza available for a casual snack.

Mayacama also offers a full service Kids Camp seasonally so you have time to enjoy the romance of the property even if you bring the whole family. A concierge is available day and night to help make recommendations and reservations at restaurants, wineries and activities throughout the area.

The country club deck

As for the area, you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in California wine country than Santa Rosa. It’s a short drive from shopping and wineries, including Vintner’s Square, which is continually adding new tasting room and dining options.

I’m hoping to get back to Inspirato’s new Sonoma property someday!
